I heart CHANEL and DIOR, so there are 2 classic bags I just have to have:
1) CHANEL Black Jumbo Lambskin Classic Flap (w/ Silver Metal Hardware) *ticked off*
2) CHRISTIAN DIOR Lady Dior Cannage Bag *still lusting after*
I have the Lady Dior Cannage wallet, so the bag would go beautifully with it ❤
This post is dedicated to the Lady Dior Cannage Bag, here’s a short description (credit: http://www.bagbunch.com)
Nothing is more classically feminine than the Lady Dior line by Christian Dior. And while the Lady Dior bags may not stand on fashion’s cutting edge, they do have a hundred years of couture tradition behind their conservative good looks.
The Cannage bag takes its name from the quilted pattern in the patent leather, called “cannage stitching“, a Dior trademark. The tonal matte stitches show off the glossiness of the patent leather, and the intricate cannage pattern has a look that is both classic and contemporary.
The shiny, oversized silver hardware really pops against the backdrop of black patent, and the Dior logo charms are an eye-catching, but classy, alternative to a prominent logo. The rolled leather handles have a 4.25″ drop, comfortable for carrying by hand, but probably too short for most of us to fit over a shoulder. But, apparently, Christian Dior thought of that, too, and included a long, removable shoulder strap.
The high attention to detail is exactly what you should expect from the established House of Dior. The stitching is even and intricate, and all the hardware is polished to a glassy shine. Protective metal feet on the bottom of the bag keep your investment safe from scuffs and scratches. Even the interior has trademark Dior quality, with its jacquard logo lining.
The above description refers to the black patent tote which looks like this. The patent really brings out the trademark quilted Cannage pattern – gorgeous!
The Lady Dior range comes in many different sizes, colours, leather (soft lambskin, patent, nylon, satin), and style (tote, hobo etc).
The soft lambskin looks more mature than the patent, but if it’s in a lighter shade, it looks fabulous too.
